BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy
Emma holds a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School and is a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). Emma takes an integrative approach to counselling, drawing on Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches. This allows Emma to adapt her therapeutic approach to the individual needs, experiences and goals of each client.
Emma aims to provide a warm, supportive, safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and emotions openly, without fear of judgement. She believes that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is an important part of the counselling process, allowing clients the space to explore their experiences, develop self-awareness and work towards meaningful change at their own pace. Through understanding, empathy and support, Emma aims to help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves, navigate their individual experiences and explore ways of moving forward.
Emma works with a broad range of issues, including anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, childhood trauma, loss and grief, personal development, attachment issues, relationship difficulties and self-esteem. Emma also support clients experiencing ADHD related challenges and dyslexia-related concerns.
Emma is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and clinical supervision to support my growth as a therapist, maintain ethical practice and continue developing my knowledge and skills.
